challenger took it off the line but lost the race guessin cause mustang was a 5 spd and chally was an auto

I didn't know much about driving back then you know its basic obstacle avoidance your not suppose to look at the thing your trying to avoid or you will drive right into it all i know is I was lookin at him

No, being a manual has little to do with it. The Mustang 427 has 427 hp at the crank and probally around 450LBS of tq. At the wheel the mustang is putting down roughly 375 rwhp and 396 rwtq. On the other hand the Challenger is putting down a little less hp and tq. Another factor is the Mustang weighs less and has a lower final gear. The challenger has a 3.06 and the mustang as a 3.31, 3.55 or a 3.73

The Challenger actually has 3.02 final,not that .04 is gonna make that much of a difference.He must have been trying to shift himself or did something else wrong becuase he had a better reaction time,and my lowest ET so far is 13.37 @ 105.06 , his was 13.7 @103

The roush should have won. About the same power, but lighter weight. These are easily mid to high 12 cars.

The weight simply kills these cars. I have an SRT8 witch I love, so I not just throwing rocks. I am afraid the best cars to race with is going to be other challengers.
