So Patrick,

Do you guys ever plan on making a forum that would be striclty Muscle Cars? For the muscle car enthuisists who like all, like myself. You know how you have the Trucks one.

Or would that be too much of a hastle because one sided people would flame too much on there instead of respecting each other for having a muscle car?

in our experiences, multi-brand/model sites dont do well, because you get too many fanbois who are only there to start trouble. for instance, even though the truck site is slow, we have ALOT of problems with people asking a question in, say, the dodge ram section...and there will be one good reply then several "your problem is that dodges are all junk...or one guy who replied to everything with "real men drive ford"...etc...

there may be a cuda site open soon though...

That's what I figured, but just wanted to ask. Hell, look at MF, you can even own a mustang, and they still flame each other.

yeah..some people at MF have been asking me why i havent been around much..i got long periods without posting, because i know that the reply will likely just annoy me, but we have been working to organize the technical sections more...but i stick mostly to street and strip..and alot of those guys drive me nuts.

The problem that I found with MF posters, is they don't respect opinions or others. Say I asked about better suspension without lowering the car. 20 people will answer, 1 may have a decent answer, the rest will say That's stupid. Lowering the car is much better looking. SH&% like that just pisses me off. I go on once in awhile to read for a laugh, and see that the Professor is trying hard to get the 05+ section running nicely, but with all the dummies who don't follow the rules, he has a hand full.

I will admit I have found another mustang site that when I ask a tech question, they answer without all the BS answers. Sorry, but whe I have a mustang Q I just want it answered, not bashed.

That is ashame that some forums behave like that. We used to use CB radios before they were popular back in 1973 and people were very polite.
By the time they did get popular in 1976, the people that were now on the radio were obnoxious and it still that way with a lot of cussing and that is illegal because of FCC rules.

Yep, seems like, to me anyways, back in those days, people were taught to show respect for others, now it is all for themselves. I am a firm believer in spanking(NOT BEATING) at a younger age when they don't understand the concept of lost time and having privledges revoked. I was taught that way, and I grew up fine, and I show respect for others, well until they start disrespecting me first.

I agree with everything you said, except if they disrespect me and they are older then I just try to walk away since it is not worth the conversation. If they are younger
like in a church or school, or neighborhood then we have a heart to heart if I know their parents otherwise you are wasting your time again.

The fundamental problem is the family (God ordained) unit has fallen apart and kids may have parents that do not care, or may not have parents at all. So you have kids running amok.

We all have to take ownership of our own kids and or be mentors to youth that need it.

AMEN!!! I might be from a younger generation but my parents were not young when they raised me. When I was acting up a got a hard one right on the behind and that taught me to stop messing around. I see my cousins doing the waste of time system (time out) and they are constantly screwing around not obeying them. On a vacation I recently took, the one was such a brat, he would smart-off, would do the opposite of what you told him to do and everything else. I wanted to give that little brat a good pop on the behind so bad, but I managed to resist the temptation.

I don't know why people are so nasty to each other. My parents would have given me a hard smack if I acted like the way a lot of people do.
