The only thing I like about the Malibu is its interior. Very different. On the outside though, it looks like the rest of the Chevys. Blah! What happened to Chevy for 08? The Cobalt lost its agressive front end and round tail lamps. The Impala lost its unique lines and (again) round tail lamps. The Malibus exterior looks like it fell somewhere in between the two. (yawn)
With the death of the Monte Carlo, and the Camaro at least 6 months from production, it looks like the only decent looking car in Chevys line-up is the Corvette.

HELL BUDDY I GOT A 78 PINTO IN MY BACKYARD I WOULD TAKE OVER A CHEVY MALIBU OR ANY OF THE SO CALLED CAR OF THE FUTURE THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME FRONT OR BACK AND MOST MUSTANGS HAVE BEEN SEEING THE BACK OF MY CHALLENGER,ANY CAR IN THAT MATTER HAVE BEEN SEEING MY TAILLIGHTS
With all due respect, I don''t think looks has anything to do with popularity. I believe brand loyalty has more to do with it. The Impala way outsells the less expensive, more fuel efficient Malibu. The Malibu in my opinion is ugly on the exterior, but I like the interior. The Impala looks very boring and the interior although a step up from the previous model, is very cheap looking and uncomfortable. Certain segments tend to be more popular with certain brands.
I''m sorry but I completely disagree with that person''s view on those Toyota models looking good. They look weird! Mazda looks good, Nissan has some good looking models, but not Toyota. If people would by cars based on looks with price in consideration, Chrysler would have surpassed GM''s sales in the 90s. Honestly, I think we are in an ugly trend though there are a few that look good like the Challenger. The Camaro just doesn''t look right if you ask me.
