I didn't know they had a 318 available for the R/T model. The 318 wasn't bad though. My dad had two Coronet's with them in there. At least, you didn't have the Slant Six like my dad did in the Aspen.

My first car was a 72 VW bug. Cost $400 bucks, but ran well.

My mom's first car was a VW Beetle, I'm not sure what year though. She loved it and regreted trading it in for her Chevy Vega. She had the first year and she had so much trouble with that car. She is off and on trying to find a classic Beetle.

What kind of fuel mileage did you get with your Beetle, TechmanBD.

i have always thought that the aspen RTs were very cool in the black and red/orange...

when i got caught for the big one, i had the 340ci which went into the car in 1997ish, but i didt have the big gears...it had 3.55s...then 3.91s, then i had 4.10s last year when it ran 12.60s, and this winter, 4.56s went in...

so not a world of top speed, but the old girl will scoot off the line...

Ah man, I have no idea, that was around '88 to 91. Way to long for me to remember.

1972 Plymouth Gold Duster, Tawney Gold with Tan top and tan interior.

318 V8, headers, dual exhaust, Offenhauser Intake, Carter Quadrajet, mild cam, Centerline mags... Speedometer went to 120. I pinned it.

God, I miss that car.

Do I have to be honest? Oh well, It was the 1983 Oldsmobile Cutless Broughm model...really cushy seats. Had the cruise control stick break on me one night when I was about to set cruise and got a pretty good shock from that rod! Girlfriend at the time thought it was funny as hell though.
