There is currently a petition to remove the requirement of a front plate in Washington:

And to think, I actually asked my dealer to be sure to put the front-plate bracket ON.

I am surprized all states have not given up front plates as it is cheaper for them. Here in Mich. we stopped useing them back in the 70''s

If there has to be something on the front and Texas requires front plates they outta do like some of the states in Mexico are doing now: Giving out decals for the front window that are a small version of the rear plate.

Its probably so the radar units they mount on those little trailers can snap your picture when you are speeding. Big brother is watching!

We are suppose to run a front plate in Maryland. I keep the front license plate and registration card under the passenger front floor mat. I refuse to drill any holes in my front bumper. Plenty of cops have slowed down to see the car, they wave and keep on going !!
