Got four of those little suction cups with metal hooks. Removed the hooks to reveal the rubber nub on the back. Had to bore the holes in the plate a little larger and popped the suction cups onto the plate. Suctions to the winshield nicely... damage free.
Hav to admit that the plate found a home tucked under the drivers seat and has remained there...

there are small indents to show you were to drill ,, my plate bracket is in the Garage my front plate is under the front seat in va its the law but it has not been brought to my attention yet :) I plan to leave it off as long as possible
Law requires front plate displayed here in Washington state also. Have not been hassled by the man yet here either. I understand they will though... sooner or later...

I think they will be more pissed about your speed than the plate.
